Hardwiring Radar Detector

Hardwiring Radar Detector
Does anyone know where to tap into the mirror/sunroof control console area for a switched power source to hardwire a radar detector in the new 2017 E300s?

Did you ever get an answer to this? I just took delivery of my 2017 and wanted to install as well since there is no other power source for my Escort. What did you use as a mount? Thanks

Where I'm at....
I am a bit fearful of taking the mirror housing apart ... but was able quite easily to run the Valentine 1 RJ-11 cable in the headliner, tucked in down the right of the windscreen & from there down to the passenger foolwell fuse box.
FYI I used a tap to run power off of a 5amp mini fuse & grounded to a threaded nut that's in the fuse box. However none of the mini fuses seem to be switched so i'm waiting for a ATO size tap I ordered to arrive - hopefully one of this is switched power. Will keep you posted.

Have mounted Valentine V1 on sun visor of many MB's. Run power cord down the A pillar to either the fuse box or center console. My local shop does this in less than an hour. Not a big job.

Anyone know where to find the fuse box(es) schematics?
In particular the one in the boot/trunk.
I need to install 2x 20 fuses that switch off when car's off.
