Purchased and finally picked up: Mercedes E400d 4MATIC (340 HP & 700Nm) with AMG Line.
Cavansite blue metallic paint.
Together with '98 SL600 V12 (green black metallic). They are close neighbours now.
Looks fantastic! I also like the luxury trim especially. That color was my first choice but couldn't find one at the end of 2020 so got my second choice of Polar white. I think the wagon's lines and shape look awesome in silver. Happy motoring, they are awesome vehicles.

At a first glance I thought they were identical but as soon as I look very hard there are indeed subtle differences. The car I opted for has a totally different front-end to the AMG-Line and it is very much a case of each to their own regarding like, or dislike

One of the frustrating things on this forum is people using generations instead of year. So I know that you got rid of a 2009 to 2016 E200. And that you bought a 2017 to 2021 E300. Congratulations. PS. Why don’t people tell the year?

That’s right, got out of a 2016 into a 2020. I had a read through some of the most recent posts and realised most we’re using gens rather than year so I just copied I guess. Also here in the UK the W213 started in 2016 so one overlaps the other
Just picked up a 2019 E450 Wagon - was difficult to pass up - 12K miles, cardinal red, driver assist, air body control, panorama roof. Did well on my GLE350 trade - and didn't do so well on the price of the wagon, so I guess it evened out.

The Mercedes designation for this style of E-class is actually 'Exclusive' If it's any consolation, this model is also not imported to the UK market. It's all crazy. Nappa leather comes as standard as does the upgraded hi-fi system..
We liked what we liked and refused to accept no for an answer.
For those who are wondering where the hybrid battery is located then here's a picture. The boot still has ample room for whatever we want to carry, but I guess if you have long objects that need to rest on the floor, then I would suggest you check before you buy. Incidentally, in the UK that rear compartment is only offered in black!! Makes sense to someone
I did a trip up to Canada and we took the Chi-Cheemaun ferry from Tobermory to Manitoulin Island. It is a two hour crossing and the weather was cool but calm.
Picture from this summer. Nowadays the weather is really bad, raining almost every other day so no time to wash the car yet also temperature just dip below 0 Celsius this week. Hopefully it will snow soon so I can take nice picture in the snow.

Work so far - full single stage correction with ceramic coating, centre console piano black replaced with wood ash, and more foam added to the dashboard top cover to prevent rattling.
Still do to - replace the vents with the coupe style, and probably some more that I haven't thought of yet...

Congrats on the new wheels. I think our wagons/estates look fantastic in red. The 220d is a 4 cylinder isn't it? What sort of fuel consumption numbers are you seeing with that? I have owned several diesels (Jetta TDI wagon, Touareg TDI and an X5 35d) in the past but after dieselgate they were all taken off of the US market. I'm jealous of you that are able to still acquire them.

Yes, the dark green is lovely and very rare. Estates here in the US are very rare in any colour. I'm assuming the 50mpg is imperial which is larger than a US gallon. If you're getting 800 miles on a tank and divide that by the 22 gallon US tank then that equates to 36.5mpg US which is very impressive indeed. In late Sep I drove my E450 estate to Toronto Canada from Austin TX (1650 miles) and I was getting 510 miles to a tank. I was also moving when not in cities doing between 80mph and 90mph. I was seeing around 25mpg US overall.
Someone from Switzerland just posted their E450 estate and I was surprised to see that the E450 was available in the EU. I thought it was only the 220d models. Happy motoring with the new car.
