E43 AMG ordered, yay!

Thanks! I'm going with the designo diamond white paint. I'm done with black paints, it's too difficult to maintain a clean look.

here is the problem with diamond white, I have a 2014 E63S in diamond white and you can see all the pitting and the stains in the pitting behind the fenders of all four wheels, thanks to the all-wheel-drive system and the aggressive nature of the vehicle. In retrospect I would've gone with a Palladium or something a bit darker though not black, to avoid all this being so obvious. Your mileage may vary, and you may choose to use XPel or 3m for at least a couple thousand dollars done by a good shop to cover all the areas that would be affected.

I found it interesting that both the order guide and the German configurator made no mention of designo interior for the E43, but they both had it as a viable E300 option.

But if you heard otherwise, that is awesome news! I'm not sure how the titan gray looks like, but I hope the black designo option is still offered! Where did you hear that from?

We are trying to go for a custom order Designo interior. Most likely Bengal Red. Having a hard time getting the dealer to find info on that.

2016 Audi S8 Plus/ 2011 Mercedes e550 4Matic//Gone:1985 500SEL/2000 e320 4Matic/ 2001 e55 Kleeman
Been away from the forum for a while now. Owner of a 2011 e550 and ex owner of a 2001 e55 with full Kleeman mods that my son totaled in April, he is fine by the way. Just put in an order yesterday for a fully loaded e43 in celenite grey metallic. Very exited. They tell me delivery for December, it was a car the dealership had ordered in to be in the queue, I'm hoping their delivery promise is accurate. They seem to think that the e43 which some are calling an AMG light, which I wouldn't disagree with, will be a very limited production vehicle, which I'm not so sure about. I think many Mercedes customers were shocked when the base engine for the new e was a turbo four, I know I was. More than a few customers will up to the e43 if they can stomach the price or go across the street to BMW. On an opinion note, you guys think that it is ok to have a beige interior with the celenite gray? I suspect black would be better but this is a Florida car and black seats get flaming hot in sun. But don't want to commit any major fashion fopaux. Thanks. Regards. Ned.

The beige is a a cool rather than warm beige. Also it is trimmed with black. It will look good. I'm in Florida as well and avoid dark interiors. The AC simply is not up to the task of cooling a 130°F interior (typical when parked in Summer) to 75°F in a reasonable amount of time.

Alittle off topic but, is the 43 expected for December this year or spring next year? Also is possible to get some % off on a build car? I'm new to building and trying to time the exit of my 14 e350 lease

You can submit an order without a deposit subject to pricing at most dealers. When the vehicle arrives you negotiate the price.
I did that with a 2016 GLE before pricing was available, but when it arrived it was $10k higher than expected. I did not buy it.

I ordered from the very first DOG. That was before MB had set prices. The GLE 450 base price was estimated to be competitive with the BMW X6. It was a fully configured GLE and the sticker came in at $90k.
