E-Class Estate - 7 seats?

Hi,

So I am looking at 7 seaters and what options I have

I have noticed the E-Class estate has a rear seat bench for two extra seats, rear facing.

Has anyone got experience on these?

Assuming the dimensions are similar to my 2014, it is strictly for occasional/short trip use, for smaller folks. The footwell sits above the spare tire, limiting room for leg extension.

2014 E Wagon, 1984 911, 2017 E wagon
We own a 2014 E Wagon. The rear seat is very small. No one has ridden in the seat so I have no actual experience. Two small 3 year old would probably fit.
Personally I would not let a person ride in the seat. It does not appear safe if there is a forceful rear impact.

We have a 2014 wagon. It's the second we own. The 'back back' as it's known is good for kids up to about 13 for shorter car pool type runs. It folds flat into the floor when you aren't using it. It's very nice to have in a pinch and allows you avoid driving a truck.

Agree with everyone about the E-Class Wagon 3rd-row seat size.

For a true 7-seaters, may consider the GLS. Every family I know that has one, likes it very much.
