Got to see a real e400 today at Washington DC Auto Show. Nice. Getting excited. I even sat in the 3rd row with my daughter. I could actually ride in there for a few minutes if I had to. Spoke to a dude in a tie at the stand who told me the delay on e400 release is that EPA certification now takes forever since dieselgate. Said it could be months. Who knows if this guy really knows anything but sounds plausible.

Delivered yet?
Well my e400 was offloaded in Baltimore yesterday which is only 30 miles from my dealer. It would be a quick trip to take delivery but as mB hasn't even officially announced the car for the US I am guessing my car will just sit in port accumulating seagull **** for a while. Oh well...nothing I can do about it.

Nope. None have been delivered as the car is not certified by one or more government agencies. My car is just started the aging process sitting on the docks in the port of Baltimore.

EPA Certifications
I was digging around EPA's database today, and it appears that the MY2016 (which never made it stateside in a production version anyways) received an EPA Certificate of Conformity back in 2015, while I seem to only be able to find one for the MY2017 coupes and convertibles... I haven't spent too much time on this, and I will probably do some deeper digging. Thought that was rather interesting though....

Not sure what to make of the EPA files. Probably need 2017 wagon do to completed even though e400 other done and 2016 wagon done. I "love" our government. Such a shame that there are so many cool cars out there that we can't get in the US.
I was going to get a Alfa Romeo Guila Quadifoglio but at the last minute they changed US from manual only to slushbox only. I did some digging and read a rumor that during crash testing the 3rd pedal caused and issue with potential injury to driver's foot/leg. The rumor states that rather than re-engineering and changing production they just eliminated the 3rd pedal. Sucks. That car is now dead to me.

oh, wow. Well that's a good start; they will hopefully start coming over and being available I would hope. At least I know now what I'll be paying. 100semarble: Hope your wait is over soon now.

Well, this thread is a bit anticlimactic. The excitement of the build and then tracking the car across the ocean only to have it sit in balitmore for over a month.
Well, GOOD NEWS!. The Feds have approved the 3.0 TT for US distribution. My car was released from the port and is on a carrier. Will be to Annapolis in a day or so. Shoudl have the car by teh weekend.

For all of us here in the US who are waiting for E400 wagons, the EPA approval is very good news. Thank you for posting it for us. Somehow it makes all of our orders seem more real. Now we are eager to see photos of your new car, if you are able to take possession of it this weekend.

Well that's great news guys, congrats 100semarble! My dealer is further pushing back my build date, blaming the selenite gray magno paint for it
Looking forward to see pics of the wagons pop up here soon!

Your wagon is very beautiful in blue. Could you post a picture of the interior?
