Order placed for W213 E220d AMG Line
Hi Everyone,
I'm a long time reader but first time poster. I've been following posts on the W213 E Class ever since May-June 2016. It wasn't until September 2016 that I contemplated actually buying the new E Class. I wanted to place an order in October 2016 but put it off because of a few issues I heard some cars had. I finally decided to order one last week.
I placed an order for an E220d AMG Line:
- Polar White
- Black ARTICO Leather/DINAMICA microfiber sports seats
- Wood Trim - Black Ash
- 19" AMG 5-twin-spoke design, bicolor finish (high gloss black painted and high sheen finish)
- Night Package
- Command Online
- Widescreen Cockpit
- Burmester Surround Sound System
- 360° Camera
I am from the U.S. (Orange County, California), but I am temporarily in the U.K. and will be working here for the next 4-5 years. So I figured I would get a car while I was here. The dealership has told me that the car will arrive at the end of May 2017, in about 10 weeks time.
Now it's just about playing the waiting game, everything is out of my control. I'm just hoping there are no delays or problems with delivery. I checked the order 5-6 times to make sure it was correct before it was placed, that's just me being paranoid. Waiting is the hardest part and it's only been 3 days!

Hope you enjoy the car. They'll have ironed a lot of the issues out by the time they make yours. Certainly the sat nav is a lot less sluggish on mine after a software update (though I still really hope they are working hard to improve it further).

Best of luck with your order - just beware of possible delays and keep on top of your dealer!

End of May delivery should mean a lot of time to change options, assuming it works the same way in the UK as it works for other European countries. So keep checking your options, you can still fix mistakes and add or remove options.
