Has anyone been able to negotiate a price discount? Interested generally, but particularly in Canada. Thx,

.
I ordered a 2018 E300 for summer delivery in Florida.
2018 prices are not set yet, but my deal calls for "near" invoice pricing. We'll see.
I also learned that there is a 3% dealer hold back. So the dealer will make more than $2k even if I get the car at invoice.

I received nearly 10% off. Have heard people beating that but I was satisfied. In comparison, BMW would only discount a similarly priced car by $1500.

I worked for a Chrysler Corp. dealership in the 1970's. The dealer holdback was 2.5% then, never mind incentives, so nothing has changed. I bought a GLK250 almost 3 years ago through Costco. The deal was $1500 below invoice. I am quite sure that the dealer didn't go broke, as I'm still receiving e-mails from them.
