That wagon looks sick! Just put down my order on a 220D 4matic yesterday. Hopefully will have it in November, depending if they can deliver all the options. Same color, with he 20" multispoke wheels.

Do you regret not getting the Night Package?

From what site did you order stuff from?

You won't regret it, the 213 is a fantastic car. Showed Remote Park Pilot to a customer the other day and he was so incredibly excited that he added the feature to his order.

Don't want night package as the black trims reminds me of the low end 204 models, the cheap ones always had black trim.
But I have added the Night Package grill for a sportier look.

I work at a Benz dealership so most of the stuff is directly from Mercedes.
Wheels are ordered directly from the US

I see! I opted for NP because most people don't get it. Makes it look like something else. Not so thrilled about the blackened out Multispoke, but as I have very good relation with my MB dealer, he will try to switch it to titanium with another customer. He made it possible for my GLC !

What wheels u going for winter?

Very classy and nice interior and I really like the grey color :-)
I also like the wheels only 21" is a bit too much gangster for my taste. :-)

Hello Vic,
I have a question
I ordered my E-class without the wireless charging for the phones, is it possible to change the stowage space ( cigarette lighter ) by the wireless charger and the USB port ?
Also, can I add the illuminated door sill panels with "Mercedes-Benz" lettering ?

Thanks in advance.

Your new car looks great. I have a S205 250d 4matic and am attracted to the new E220d possibly the all terrain as I have found even the stock 205 airmatic a bit too low on ground clearance at times. Was your old 205 220d or 250d am a little concerned at the drop from 500 to 400nm torque.

your posts are really interesting and helpful. I am not into "modding" my car but love looking at what can be done and how the cars are put together.

Wireless charging can be added but it is not easy nor cheap, I have the parts but I havnt had time to fit them, you will need a new astray unit, the wireless charging control unit, air ducting, a new USB-socket and a lot of wiring.

Illuminated door sills can also be retrofitted, a bit easier but not very cheap, talk to your dealer, they should be able to help you out with that.

My former S205 was petrol, the S213 is my first diesel, the new OM654 is a great Engine, much smoother than the older OM651 250d
You wouldnt miss the extra torque.

new iPhones just got wireless charging , I would wait a few months . I can guarantee you in 2 months after it's on the market , we will have all sorts of amazing third party accessories.

I'm thinking phone holder / wireless charging solution hopefully at sametime synced with the car.

You are so right, but a lot of these accessories get broken by time, so it is nice if you have something genuine intended for this purpose.

Congrats. I just got my E400 wagon too and got a call that it arrived. Actually did a European delivery - picked it up in Stuttgart 12 weeks ago - drove it in Germany and Austria for 2 weeks and it just arrived in Seattle. Pick it up next week after it is detailed and has plates. Love the car.

Nice way to have it delivered. And a little exercise on the autobahn is always good 😊

jealous of european 220 diesel wagons ...
Well this is a great post on the selenite grey wagon - wife and I here in North America may go with a used '15 s212 E400, regretfully with the V-6 gas (but I think twin turbo from what I'm reading).
Has anyone explored buying either a diesel hybrid or diesel 220 over in Denmark or Norway and shipping it in a container to Canada? If it amounted only to $5000 shipping it might be worthwhile but Transport Canada may have other ideas / necessary modifications or simply not admit if necessary safety equipment cannot be installed for the canadian market.

I get that the new "yacht" like interiors on the 2017s with designo contrasting leather are beautiful but they're pushing $90 K here now so we'll stick with a more manageable $60K or less for used (and I also get that it's a whole new platform too).

Great choice of car after owning an R class. (yet another option to import from China where still made in Alabama and marketed there) - again with Transport Canada issues...?

Car looks killer! Awesome to see modded wagons! You are doing things right and keeping it clean! I can’t wait to get a hold of one myself. Sadly I don’t think they will send the E43 wagon to the US. So probably have to do some of the E43 stuff you have done 🔥

Car looks amazing Vic. The interior combo and all your mods are tastefully done and executed in a clean and functional manner!
I just recently got a Selenite Sedan with the night package which only comes with the 18" dark wheels, I was really wanting to get the car with the 19's but they don't come on the night package cars, kind of wish I would have just got the car with the 19's and would have just painted out my trim. I still have parts to paint anyway, and the trim around the windows actually looks more like it is anodized, so similar to some of the older MB models with black trim in the sunlight you see a little purple tint, so I just may end up painting them 040 black at some point.

Anway, your wagon looks awesome...thanks for sharing the build!
