What little niceties have you discovered?

This is a great thread. Had no idea about almost any of this. Really like the "hold" brake feature. And embarrassingly: Even though I have had the car since last August, I never paid attention to the dimmer wheel next to the light switch. Imagine such a feature! ;-)

Just got my E Coupe over the weekend. Thanks guys for the tips! My old 2003 E500 had the tunnel feature that shuts windows and roof. As for the "hold" open the key to open all windows and roof, it worked less than 50% of the time. My old G35X, worked every time!

Upon checking my car, my parking brake is all manual, no auto on/off. My trunk is manual close no power close. I don't have a dimmer switch next to the light switch. I wonder whether I have the same car as you guy?

Boot close/open is usually an option that goes with keyless unlock/lock. Estates/Wagons have it as standard i believe.
Surprised there is no small rotary dimmer, id have thought that was standard on all cars too. Maybe it's only on the wide-screen cockpit models?

We have never gotten the tunnel mode from the recirculation button in the States and its no exception with the E
....
2) With cruise control set to a specific speed, even with no cars in front of you, and going around a steep bend (that arguably your speed is too fast for), the car will slow down mid bend because it realizes you are going too fast. This is the first car I've known to do this.

Does your ML, or the E, still have one touch close on the windows and sunroof? As the tunnel mode is just effectively one touch for 5 things at once. Seems to make no sense to drop the feature if, in the same market, the driver can close rear windows with a single button click.
My current C300 also will slow down mid-bend, even if I am not going anywhere near too fast. My previous C280 4MATIC did not! Also makes no sense.

I know the last generation e coupe looked like it had an e saloon dash but didn't, so the specs and kit were subtly different between them. But i thought the new coupe had, apart from air vents, the same interior as saloon. If you are missing all that kit I'd assume that's not the case. How is the handbrake operated though, by foot like the old ones?
Re the powered boot opening, maybe the coupe doesn't have space for the motor.

just checked local UK configurator. Coupé doors come with electric handbrake and remote boot opening. Sorry if this is an insulting question, you have 4 round central air vents right? Not 2 rectangular ones?!

Sales guy just told me that the coupe does not come with auto parking brake/release, sucks! It's the old fashion way. No round vents either.

I knew the 2018 would be introduced this summer. I bought the 2017 coupe at 10K off the MSRP. The 2017 sedan has the auto brake/release, just not the coupe.

Not that this is a real nicety, more like an interesting quirk, but on ECO mode, when you release the gas pedal and you are under glide mode, I noticed that when you begin to approach another vehicle from behind, it will automatically put you back in gear, Im assuming for engine braking.

Wireless charging pad in the car... I have a Google Pixel. I bought a wireless charging receiver (they now make a smaller one that does not cover the fingerprint reader), plugged it in and slipped my thin case back on the phone. Slide it into the pad and 'ding' the charging phone light comes on. Nice.
BTW, seems to be about the only thing that works properly on my new car...

Quick question -
2017 E with performance package (not the more expensive package above it that includes self-driving - or whatever they call it.)
Does the little blue camera with a 'P' always stay on while driving for everyone else?
