If your cruise has or has not been previously engage with a speed and for example to pull onto a freeway where the speed limit is 65 mph, and your car acknowledges its 65, no matter what speed you are currently at, you can double pull the stalk and it will set your cruise at the posted speed.

ah it's when the adaptive cruise has been activated (where it reads the sped signs and adapts speed automatically)
I've switched that off as it doesn't work all that well..

i noticed when u shut off the auto start stop and put it in sports + then back down to comfort the auto start stop stays off in the 2018 eclass, in the 2017 the auto start stop comes back on when u put it back in comfort.

When cruise control slows down due to a reduced speed limit, give the accelerator a quick tap and it goes back to your previously set speed.

I noticed this change from my 2015 C to the 2018 E, my best guess is that the "eco start/stop" is now divorced from the Dynamic Select and is turned on and off separately, which is good for this purpose (was really annoying to be in comfort eco/off and go up to sport and have the engine stop), but you can no longer press one button to go into Sport eco/off.
