What little niceties have you discovered?

On my E43 I can never get the glowing ring, not even driving on Eco at 65 and using hypermilage techniques (no cruise control). The rolling bar never makes it all the way even with constant glide mode usage. I guess if the car doenst get a prescribed you don't get "rewarded"

I use this trick and it can be a little deceiving as the screen will turn off if you release the button too early which can make you think it has rebooted. The trick is to not release the button until the screen goes off on its own. In my W212, you can usually hear the head unit wind down at the same time. Then release the button and the reboot process starts.

2) With cruise control set to a specific speed, even with no cars in front of you, and going around a steep bend (that arguably your speed is too fast for), the car will slow down mid bend because it realizes you are going too fast. This is the first car I've known to do this.

The current W205 C-Class does it too, at speeds not even close to being too fast for the curve. To maintain speed through the curve, one has to step on the gas hard enough to bring up "Distronic suspended". Looks like this will be the operation of all Mercedes models from now on. I find it very annoying. I also fear that the next step of the nanny state will be to prevent this override of the cruise control, then, after that, applying the cruise control limit, even when not using cruise control. The auto safety establishment is firmly committed to the long-term goal of eliminating the driver.

One of the improvements on the facelift S class distronic will slow down in a curve and return to set speed as the road straightens out.

The backs of the front seats have a slight recess at the base of the headrest so that rear passengers have "grab handles" as leverage when getting out.

The front center armrest has a thin rubber seal between the two storage covers to prevent fluid/small items from falling into the storage area.

Aside from being able to adjust the front passenger's seat from the driver side door, you can also adjust the front passenger headrest. The adjustment button for the passenger is on the driver's side. The placement also reduces the cost of production as it mimics the driver's side headrest button.

The right way, the wrong way, the Massachusetts way
Thought of a few more:
....
3) not sure if this is only for cars that have P3 package (drive pilot) but the speed limit assist which shows the speed limit on your instrument cluster, nav and HUD will also how "25mph, School" when it sees that sign. It also knows how to differentiate between yellow signs which are not limits but suggested speeds vs white speed limit signs)

I might withdraw my comment about that. I think yellow signs are also limits but they last only for the duration of the turn and then return back to the white speed limits

I learned that if you press the lock button twice it will put the key to "sleep"
This helps preserve the battery life in the key. When the key is "sleeping" it won't unlock or lock the doors via touching the door handle. It took me forever to find this out.

But the most important thing with this feature is that it is not possible to "relay" the key to the car.
Several cars around here has been stolen using this technology,
the thief scans the front door of the house (where keys usually is) relaying the key RF-signal to his companion standing next to the car.

Luckily we don't have the same technology as BMW, I've been told that even their newest system cannot be turned off.

Hi
Collectively
Feature to open only drivers door and not the rest with the key. If I remember correctly, press the open key on remote until it flashes.
Open remaining doors, press twice.
You toggle between modes by pressing open key again until it flashes
Green symbol - it is actually harder to get it glowing in ECO mode than in Comfort. If I am careful I normally get it to glow but you need to do all three parts so if there is no free rolling then you will not get the glow regardless of the rest
Sudden

I just found out that the volume dial in the midle console is also a mute button when pressed.
This Changes.... well nothing really, but funny I never noticed before.

On my 2018 (not sure about the 2017s), when you select "Climate Control" on the Ambient Lighting menu, the interior ambient lighting will turn RED for a moment when you increase the temperature, and BLUE when you decrease it. Even cooler, if the driver and passenger temps aren't synced, only the side that is being adjusted will light up red or blue (passenger sided lighting, or drivers side lighting). Simple but neat.

I like how the rear view camera is hidden underneath the rear emblem until called for. I was looking for it but could not find it. It’s always exposed on every other car. Genius!

I just found out after more than 1 year of ownership that when you turn off the engine, the interior lights do not turn on. They turn on only after you unbuckle your seat belt.
