540 vs E43....CANNOT DECIDE!!!

I received my new E43 last Friday, and I was looking at the 540i, 550M and Guilia. If you order one of these, get the black piano laquer wood in place of the aluminum (where 4 center vents are and around on doors). The look is awesome. And definitely get the upgraded AMG steering wheel, that thing is top notch.
This car has a vastly superior interior to the BMWs, everyone who sees it is stunned. And I love the wheels, the spokes are gloss black on the sides and silver on the faces. The driving modes are fantastic, its like having 4 different cars at the flip of your thumb. This car has a ton of standard features (all of option package one, plus amg stuff and both digital displays).

I did look at both of those also...
Did you look at the Giulia with the TT4, or the TT6 ?
The TT6 has over 500hp, but my dealer didn't have any of those to drive....
Color me disappointed....
The TT4 was ok.... but I like more power...
Handled really nice.... almost like it was on rails....
Too bad all the TT6 cars they were getting were already sold....
My dealer would not budge on an E43 pricewise....
Were you able to get any discount ?

The TT6 has over 500hp, but my dealer didn't have any of those to drive....

The Giulia is more in the C class segment, almost identical wheelbase, and the TT6 version competes with the C63 with very close outputs. No where near the luxury features as in the E, or size for that matter. The Giulia is a nice vehicle though but I would definitely not choose it over an E.
As for discounts on the E43, I was able to get $2500 off MSRP(which I was not happy about) as this is my 7th vehicle purchased from this dealer. I actually love the car, more than my 14 63s. The 63s is obviously faster, but that's it, it is boring in every other aspect, luxury, technology, infotainment, looks, etc. etc,,, and ALL AMG's depreciate worse than 99% of the cars out there. So the guys(Peterubers) talking about the 43 depreciating when the E50 comes out in 2 or 3 years, it will depreciate just as bad as the 63's with the M157 engine(5.5l) has depreciated, not just because it is an AMG, but because that is a discontinued engine that was replaced with the 4.0TT.
To me, the E43 is worth every penny for what comes as standard equipment and I'm very happy with the purchase.
BUT, I have to get over the exhaust note, might be the only downfall of the 43..lol
