I am told my car will be ready for delivery in the next couple days. For those of you who have already taken delivery of an E300 what do you suggest I add to my delivery inspection checklist? Known issues, etc. I'd like to make sure the car is "right" before I accept it. Thanks!
One piece of advice. The car is so complex and there's so much to learn that trying to do it all on deliver day--and at the same time go down the check list and do all the paperwork--is almost impossible. At our salesman's suggestion, we spent a couple of hours learning what we could and came back a few weeks later for a refresher/advanced course. We are still confused by many of the features and the menus upon menus but it's sinking in over time.

Ironic...dealer emailed me this morning to say my car is at the dealership. I'm picking it up tomorrow. Frankly waiting for the next model year probably makes sense at this late date.

Thanks. Funny how that works with getting the dealer's attention. I was literally a day away from cancelling when I got the email saying my build was arriving in 1-2 days. I will be keenly interested in seeing the differences between the 17's and the 18's. The 2018 S-Class (debuting in Shanghai next week - see link below) is supposed to have a more advanced Drive Pilot system but not sure about the E-Class. That might come in 2019.
I got it and am busy figuring how to make it work! Lots to learn. The car drove 20 miles today on the interstate by itself -- just touching the wheel every minute to keep it happy. She did a surprisingly good job but it is definitely not relaxing. Interior pics to come.

Why wait! Find a new dealer and place your MY18 E300 order. The only differences are how some features are packaged along with a couple of new features. Those can be configured with your new salesman.
I have a July 1 build date for mine.
