E400 Sedan Pricing

I am about to pull the trigger on a new E400 sedan in Toronto. I was wondering what type of discounts of MSRP are people seeing? Is 5% a fair discount? Also, what type of discounts can I expect off the extended warranty? Is 10 - 15% reasonable? Thanks!

i would say "it depends"... it depends on how configured is the vehicle and whether it is already on the lot or we are talking about a new 2018 . i just picked up a fully equiped (every imaginable option) E300 that was already in inventory somewhere else and got 4% off. the alternative would have been to place a new order (2018) and at this point, discount would have been less. .

also, on a lease, i got 3 monthly payments waived + for the prepaid maintenance 20% off. hope that help if not PM me and happy to help a fellow canadian

So, isn't that just dandy! You can order an E400 sedan in Luxury Trim in Canada, but not here in the U.S.A. Isn't that just PERFECT! Frigging MBUSA!

For the extended warranty, check in the extended warranty sub-forum. Some used to sell at $100 over cost so it's not a percentage. Your MB dealer probably has a much bigger markup.

Thanks! This is very helpful. I am trying to get a 2017 but the issue is getting intelligent drive so I may need to wait for a 2018.

2018 model is brand new coming out in the summer. After my horrible experience with the new W211, 2003 E500, I would never buy another new model year. I had 1" file of warranty service done in the first 3 years!

I just bought a 2017 E400 coupe. This model has been around for some time so I am not worried as much. Besides, I got 10K off the MSRP! The choice is yours, get a 2017 with a huge discount or wait for the 2018 with a small discount.

Not to be insulting, Canada is considered a "lower income" market than the US. We only get the most expensive models. I wouldn't be surprised if you could still buy a crank window E class somewhere.

That is not quite true. There is more equipment on a base car in Canada and you can't get a E400 model in the US. Also, you pay more. If you bought an E43 in US dollars in Canada, your car would be approximately 13K US cheaper. Too bad they are not sold for export.

On a per capita basis Canadians bought 25% more MB's than Americans. So much for"lower income" country. Or maybe it's because they are cheaper here.
