iPhone on Charging Pad

I have yet to figure out a way to place my phone either in a cup holder or the charging pad without Apple Pay queuing up. It's annoying.

So mostly I place my phone in the center armrest, but that limits my ability to use CarPlay.

Is there any way around this? Thanks.

If you have any metal plates that come with magnetic car phone holders, you could set one or two down under the rubber pad and it will block the sensor from detecting the pad.

My iPhone 6+ does not even fit on the charging pad if I plug it in so I can use CarPlay

I put mine in the right drink holder. if you set it down standing down, and then slowly tilt to to lie down, it will not activate.

I might add that you need to have the base of the phone towards the back of the cup holder and have to tilt/lean it towards the command controller
