Anyone Know What this means?
Can anyone tell me what the TMC means when the navigation screen is on.

some googling around seems to maybe suggest it is some sort of Traffic messaging system, perhaps meaning the navigation system is taking into account traffic data it is receiving?

TMC is traffic information broadcasted via radio. A standard that's been around for 20 years or so.

That's live traffic updates provided by SUNA, broadcasted over the RDS-TMC network.

The navigation system takes in the data and plans/adjusts your route accordingly.

Thank you. Now I know. I'm in south west Vic and hadn't seen it until a trip to Geelong and Melbourne recently. I have googled RDS-TMC and can see a few stations that broadcast it.
