To start off I will state that I don't have any experience purchasing MB vehicles so I am looking for any opinions. I have an order for a 2017 E43 that should arrive early to late next week. The sales rep has changed twice since I place my order back in October. The new sales rep claims there are zero discounts available for the 43s since they only had 3 of them total. I called another local MB dealership that has an E43 on the lot that is about an 80% match and not missing anything I would lose sleep over. They are offering $4k off and 2 year prepaid maintenance. My questions are:


1) Should I expect no discount since I custom ordered (might be a MB thing)?
2) When do the 2018 E43s start production?
3) Do they normally discount the 2017 model when the 2018 starts production?

1) You should expect the same discount or buy the car from the dealer with the E43 in stock. Lock that in before the car in stock is sold.

2) E43 production for NA started June 1st.

3) Most 18 models won't arrive until Sept. and 2017 Oct. 2017 E43 production started very late with the first cars arriving at dealerships in Feb. 2017. Discounts vary from dealer to dealer but E43's have been in short supply at most dealers and this usually makes for higher prices.
