Yellow Live Traffic is Bad Traffic
This probably only pertains to the US, or maybe only California, but whoever is providing the traffic data to the navi is not doing it correctly.
I rarely see any "red" slow traffic lines, but I see a lot of yellow. Whenever its yellow, I have noticed it is already bad traffic that should be labeled as red. Google, Waze, and Apple maps show these same roads as red. On the rare occasions I do see red on the navi, it must be completely stopped.

i was at a loss wrt live traffic. here in canada the lines were always yellow and several inquiry at the dealer resulted in "you need a Sirius subscription" which is not true. finally i reached out to MB Canada HQ and when pushed on this (the original answer was... get Sirius) they admitted that live traffic isn't offered in canada on the MY17 E-class since it depends on Mercedes Me Connect (MMC) which hasn't been launch yet. (will launch with MY18 but no retrofit or backward compatibility offered for the MY17... so basically i and all MY17 E-class owners are SOL)
so can i assume that MMC is available in the US ? or how else is the live traffic getting to the car ? [i am not talking wave, carplay, android etc...]
