Logging in to TuneIn radio account

2017 E300 4Matic, Piedmont Green
Logging in to TuneIn radio account

My USA 2017 E300 uses the TuneIn service as an Internet radio option in Command.

The service streams fine, but i haven’t been able to enter my login credentials to access the premium features and stored favorites of the premium account I’ve purchased separately.

The “options” menu for the TuneIn radio includes an entry for logging in to your account, but when I select that option nothing ever appears — it is as if a browser is spinning and spinning without successfully connecting to a site.

Could some folks in the USA select that option in Command and tell me whether a prompt for entering TuneIn account credentials appears? I would be grateful to have that information.

FWIW, my dealer referred me to Mbrace, Mbrace frontline staff referred me to their Level 2 support, Mbrace Level 2 support referred me to MB USA, and MB USA consulted with Mbrace Level 2 support and ultimately referred me back to my dealer...

Unfortunately I can’t help, but I have almost the opposite problem. I can login to my account fine, see my favourites etc, but can’t actually play any stations. I get a message telling me to activate the service via the Mercedes me app or website, but there’s no option on either.
I called support who couldn’t explain it. They have raised a ticket but suggested I take it to the dealer as they might have forgotten to activate something. This seems unlikely since all other online services work.
I’m in Sweden not the USA by the way.

everytime I use TuneIn I get a message to activate the service online
but TuneIn worsk just fine after message is gone.

so does it always show said message, even when already activated?

Mine just looks like it’s buffering after the message but never actually plays.
I heard today from a source on this forum that it’s because there isn’t yet a data arrangement with a mobile operator here in Sweden (although some features like weather still work)
Hopefully this will get sorted soon. I use tunein all day at work and it would be much more convenient to access straight through the car instead of via my phone.

Well... aftr only 4 days mine starts to do the same thing... grrrrr

And again impossible to connect.

checked to see if i had any internet connection at all
by using the web brower... it works, but slow as sh*t.

I wonder if it has something to do with my (4 week free) internet subscription running out?
'can't really be because if have the internet radio for 3 years regardless of such subscription...)

EDIT:

well it seems they've update the info/terms
on the Mercedes me website.

it says I have the service internet radio until 2020,
but it now also says that in order for this to work I need
to buy an internet subscription
