Strange! I ordered two E43's. One was scheduled for June 10th build and the other had a July 10th build date. The first one was delayed to June 26th and was produced on that date. However there were missing parts and the car has been held at the gate until this is resolved.

The second car was built July 6th but the night package was added but never ordered. That car is now on a ship headed to Halifax.

The first car shows an advanced billing without IDP (driver pilot in US ) The dealer assures me that option is on the build sheet, which leaves me to believe there is a module missing.

The strange part is why they would short build a sold unit instead of a stock unit. Some parts must be available because both cars were identical equipment excluding color and trim and one did get built.

I was supposed to get my car July 26th but that's not going to happen now. To make matters worse, I gave them my 15 CLS a month ago because they were offering a better today price than if I waited for my car to arrive.

The missing IDP is a deal breaker. Now what?

Is it Murphy's Law that says that anything that can go wrong will go wrong?

It could be that. I should find out this AM. Now I'm thinking of buying an 18 S560 short wheel base if there are any of those in stock. S class is not my favorite car but it may be my only choice since IDP and big screen are a must.

Be patient!!! I put in my order at the end end of Feb. when 18 E production was to start May 1st. That eventually changed to June 1st.
