Painted calipers
Finally got some time to get my new calipers painted, I masked them and had them professionally painted,
first the base coat then I applied the new larger decal and then clear coat.
Of course made in "Silver Arrow" silver,
red and or yellow calipers looks far too rice on a non AMG vehicle IMO.

Unless they were powder coated I wouldn't have recommended painting them. In a few years you'll end up with flaked off paint that will look pretty awful. They look good now though. They looked pretty good in original "attire" too.

Yes, that would be the case with off the shelf "caliper paint" or similar, this is a very long lasting finish, the glossy surface is very resistant and easy to clean.
We have done this to several customers as well as my own former S205.
No flaking, even on properly used AMG cars.
This is no ten minute job done with a spray can,

Vic how much of your car is original OEM now?????
BTW do you know where I can get my speed limiter deleted or at least raised to the European 155mph standard?

Well, calipers are OE E43 ones, so I am still keeping it mostly German, exception being the US-made wheels ☺️
No idea about the limiters I am afraid, unfortunately I don't have access to edit those things through Xentry.
Third party is the only way to go.

Did you have to swap rotors too? or are the 300 sport ones the same? Since you are it might as well swap the rear rotors since the calipers are the same. Id be willing to bet that the bigger rear rotors are more important to the overall braking performance of the car than calipers are.

Yes, I originally have the "small" size sport brakes 338mm.s as I have the tiny 220d engine
The E400 and above all have the larger sport brakes with 365mm rotors and the calipers pictured above.
I am only swapping them for looks here as my car isnt exactly built for speed
It may LOOK fast, but really .. no

It may not accelerate that fast but it can still go as fast as "petrol" model!

That is 100% right has to be only one way never do anything else you must stick to the rules. I am sure you would not even wear Santoni for AMG shoes as they are not made in Mercedes Benz in Germany even if you got them for free.

AMG-shoes?
No I dont own a genuine AMG so I do not want to be a poser like the people who paint red calipers and put AMG-logos on a non AMG vehicle.
Why so upset?, this is my personal opinions, why do you care so much about what I like and dont like?

You are very critical to others and what they do to their cars.
As you do to others,
so others will do to you.
Who was that man that said that ?

I began with stating my own opinion, not directed towards anyone in particular, but obviously you felt offended and started ranting about this and that.
Feel free to do whatever you want with your, originally, beautiful car, but don't get upset when someone is straight out saying what they think about it.

Had some spare time over so I fitted the brakes this evening, turned out great, unfortunately I hadnt time to wash the car or take some decent pictures, but these will do for now.
