My 2018 E300 Finally Arrived

After being held at the Bainbridge VPC for 5 weeks, my '18 E300 was delivered today. No pics, but only the electronics changed from last year's model. I'd requested Pirelli tires and that's what was delivered. My next project is to configure all of the user options and enter the navigation info.

2018 E300 in Canada - When?

Does anyone know when the 2018 E300 will be released in Canada?

Mine is stuck in Halifax, NS pending approval by Transport Canada.

I think all the functions are the same, but the presentation varies a bit. For example the nav map scale is now on the lower right of the display instead of the lower left.

Congratulations! How long did it take from order date to the date the car arrived at your dealer?

Yes--Congratulations.

It it sounds like they haven't changed anything significant about the navigation system like the short warning before freeway exits or turns and the lack of any route summary. Was hoping they would fix these things.

I actually ordered the car in February. The factory accepted the order in April. The car was built on 6 July and arrived at the port/VPC on 25 July. The 2018 E300's were released for sale on 20 August. Mine was held until 29 August. It arrived at the dealer the same day. I picked it up yesterday.

I have not had a chance to use the navigation system other than to guide me home from the dealer (6 miles) to test the Distronic functions. There is no route summary other than viewing the route marked on the map which works for me. That said, I generally define waypoints when I create a long route. This E300 is a grocery getter and probably will never leave town. The power and acceleration is marginal at best.

Waiting for the 2018 model was worth it! I would never buy a first year model.
