Goodyear tires more expensive: 245/45/19 Good Year vs Michelin
Hello everyone,
It appears Good Year tires 245/45/19 are more expensive than Pirelli, Michelin and Continental running over $400 per tire in the socal area having checked with a few dealers here. Does anyone know why? Are Good Year tires suitable on AMG wheels on the 2017 E Class? Thanks

That's a rip off. I paid about 245 US dollars per tyre a month back for eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 run flats. And that's in the UK where we have 20% sales tax. Oddly, the fronts are about 30 dollars more than the rears, which are 275s. I think the fronts are a rare size (not many other choices) compared to the rear so that's perhaps why you're being roughly taken from behind on the price! It still hurt having to replace all 4 tyres at once with only 21000 miles on the clock

I've heard a lot of complaints on the Bimmerfest 5 series forum about Goodyear run-flat tires. I've also heard praises for the Michelin run-flat but that they are expensive. Do a search and you'll see what I mean.

I dont blame them, I have a convertible loaner c300 with bigger tires then my 18inch rims and it rides like its a S class compared to my car. Buttery smooth and doesn't clunk when it gets dropped into a pothole. it has I think Michelin summer run flats. So amazing and worth I think every dime. Please also dm the page that people are complaining about them so I can too.
