Hello

I was driving home today and this came up on the dash randomly. When I stopped at my local Publix, I checked the tire as best as I could and I could not find a nail or anything in it.

Also the tire pressure did not go down and stayed the same as the other rear tire. When I go to class later tonight I will check it again and see if it shows a lower tire pressure or if this comes back up again.

Does anyone know if there is a known or common issue with the sensors that check the tire pressure? I would think if there was a flat tire it would say flat tire or deflated tire or something like that instead of tire malfunction.

I had one flat and the message was about loss of tire pressure not a malfuncion. Perhaps one of the in-tire transmitters lost its connection.

Yeah it didn't make sense that it would say tire malfunction especially because it kept updating the air. Luckily its under warranty so ill make an appointment at my local dealership.
