How do I set the default for ECO to off?

Is there a way to configure ECO to be off when I start the car and to stay off until I turn it on?
I think you can define that under "Dynamic Select". If you choose Sport+ the auto off (eco mode) will be disabled. But you should be able to modify the other settings as well.

You can make an individual setting under the part whereby you can adjust comfort, sport and sport plus. Under Individual you deselect eco start stop
but after 4 hours if the car is off you have to re select individual - it doesn’t default

Yeah, some will say that's a lot to pay to avoid having to press the damn button, but I truly hate the button, find it an annoyance to have to press it (which I generally forget until the car craps out at an intersection), and it's only about 1/10th or 1% of the price of the car, so no big deal.

BTW, MY2017 offered the option of turning off ECO in the Dynamic Select using Sport, Sport+, or Individual settings. The Dynamic setting remembered your choice, BUT you had to go to that dynamic mode after every start up to have it take effect. Otherwise the car starts in Comfort Mode with default ECO stop/start ON. MY2018 does NOT have this feature. ECO is gone, replaced by ESP (traction control). Sad...

Here's the review I left on eBay:
Very easy to install in my 2018 E400 Coupe (hardest part for these old bones was finding and getting to the OBD2 port). It works exactly as the seller claims.
Without this device, the car's annoying ECO Start-Stop "feature" automatically turns the engine off every time you come to a complete stop, such as at a traffic light. Apparently that's supposed to save a tiny bit of fuel so that Mercedes can claim higher gas mileage and meet emissions standards, but it's annoying and delays the car's response to the throttle once the light changes. There is a button on the center console to turn this "feature" off, but it always comes back on when you restart the car. With this device installed, ECO start-stop stays in the last position selected in your previous drive — that is, OFF! And once you install it, you can remove the module from the OBD2 port.
BTW, I did have a problem with delivery of the device, which comes from Minsk, Belarus (between Poland and Russia). However, the seller, Vladimir, promptly fixed that. He also responded very quickly to my questions and concerns. Good guy, good product, not cheap but highly recommended if you can justify the cost!
I find it much better than when i also had an edition 1 C250 CDI (d)
