Discount on E300?
Would anyone care to disclose the discount they got off MSRP on a 2018 E300? My E300 Luxury P3 is at the VPC in Long Beach, so I'll be negotiating with my sales guy in the next few days...Thanks.

I got 6+ percent off the sticker, reduced dealer prep & delivery fees. It was the first my18 delivered in the area. The discounts may be higher now days. 7% is the Euro delivery discount plus zero delivery fees.

If you have a Costco membership, check with their auto buying service. Even if you don't buy the car from them, it still gives you a good idea of what a good price should be.

well in may the 18's wouldve been out for 6 months, so you should see a little more than 6. if you build a car with me youre basically setting your own price, so you get a 3% discount. the 6% is for cars on the ground.
2017's are 12% off

You should expect a 6% to 7% discount for any 2018 E Class sedan whether ordered from the factory or on the dealer's lot. Anything less and you should sharpen your negotiating skills. After negotiating my 6 plus percent discount I also put most of the balance on my 2% cash back credit card in $5k increments (floor limit) while the car was being built. IIRC I wrote a check for the sales tax and registration fees when the car was delivered. One can get the better deal with no financing and no trade.

I'm shooting for 7-9 and I also have a $2000 incentive from USAA. I'm also doing a build for the first time. Do you negotiate the final price before or after arrival? Thanks.

I negotiate a ball park amount when the order is placed and discounts upon delivery.
When I place an order I make sure to include any additional conditions such as tire brand and additional dealer items.
I specify that the contract is fully cancelable solely at my discretion with a full refund of all amounts paid.

That's a good one. The discount you want is 100%. How much are they offering? Sorta like those who say make me an offer. I'd offer them $1. It's the seller who has to put a price on an item.

Dealer in WA said they would not discount more than 1 % on a special order car here. I looked around and let them know I was going to move forward on another vehicle out of state and surprise 8% off. I wish buying a car was like paying for gas. No games.

Damn guys you gotta work on your negotiating skills lol.
We ordered a 2018 E300 P3 and have a car to trade in. We worked out $7500 off sticker and $8500 for the trade (2008 Lexus E350) so a tad over 10% off the $72,000 sticker price. The trade offer is actually fair and what I wanted. I was shocked.

My situation is a little different. I'm leaving the country soon and would like the car to be ready around the time I return in a about 4 months. My dealer is saying because of incentive changes between now and then complicates pricing.

There is true power by just walking off the lot. They want to sell the car. I wouldn't pay anything more than 7 % off msrp. Remember even at a deep discount the dealers are still making money hence why they a selling the car. I was ready to buy another one not perfect from another dealer for 11 % of msrp, told my local dealer I was going to go a different direction and got 8 % off. Being a ordered car and getting exactly what I want was a good deal for me. But the wait is killing me......
