E43 10K service

Took my E43 for its first service. So far its been perfect, a pleasant surprise from my minor repair prone C400. It was -30F this morning (absolute temp) wind chills to -50. God bless Wisconsin sunny winter days, NOT. Perfect day to enjoy a heated massage in the Swabian rapid transport carriage

I've never driven in anything that cold... how do your cars handle it? I remember my old 240D hated Florida's "cold" weather and couldn't imagine trying to get it going up north.

so would I. I miss that type of job in NYC. It’s certainly not here in Naples for me.

Glad to hear that your E43 is doing well in the cold! I spent New Years in northern Minnesota with my E43. Same -30F temps. Remote start was a life saver! The gearbox is slower to respond but I had no issue except a one time Air Body Control malfunction light. It only happened once but I would be interested to hear if that happened to you too.

No issues as of yet, except for a weird pop from the rear area when turning the car off (1 time). I suspect from ice chunks in the wheel wells. Every car Ive had in my 21years up here has developed some creak or groan when the temp dips below zero which happens every winter here. Im very conscious to drive gingerly after starting the car in those temps until it warms up.
