Standard audio upgrade
Hi guys,
I've a standard w213 audio system in my car. I knew burmester wouldn't be worth the money so I didn't go for it, but I want something that is a little bit louder. Was thinking one amp and one sub woofer will do the trick, I want something loud but don't want to be waking up the whole neighbourhood either.
Is an amp + sub install simple? Anyone done it? looking for 1600W amp and 1000W sub. Will go smaller if this is too much.

i'm not a sound expert, but don't you think your woofer will "overshadow" the standard sound system?
even with my basic burmeister system I would not add such a woofer...

The Burmester wasnt worth the money but you want to upgrade the entry level sound system?

The standard audio system in my W211 was much louder and cleaner than this.

12" subs are quite common I would have thought, I might go with smaller, I'll talk to an audio expert before I do anything but this is what I was pricing up initially
