Does anyone know how to activate or select the info line below the central display area (on the standard display)? And what can be shown there? USA model, BTW.
OK, I turned mine on. Now can anyone tell me how to switch from km/h to mph? The unit selection on the same Multimedia setting page only changes units for the main display.
It only shows alternate units. ie: if you have the car set to US units, the line will show km/h. If you have the car set to metric, the bottom line will show mph.
If you want an MPH digital display AND want to use US units, on the left steering wheel buttons, hit HOME, then scroll to TRIP. Then scroll up & down until the current MPH is displayed.
Thanks, BeachBunny. So here's what I really want: a simultaneous readout of digital mph, preferably big and in the center, and some kind of odometer. I had this in my Boxster, and have it now in my 911. Any chance in my E400?
If you have the flat-screen instrument cluster, with the Progressive style selected, you'd get a big digital spedo in the middle and you can put the trip stats up on either the left or right side. ODO will definitely show up on the left side with the speedo in the middle.
If you have an Android phone that can run Android Auto, you can run Torque on the Infotainment system. Just buy a decent Bluetooth OBD2 dongle, get a copy of Torque and enjoy:
