One click Auto-up not working on drivers window.

Okay.. this is very frustrating. I have had this happen twice and some how found a thread on this forum I can’t seem to find anymore on how to fix it. Can anyone with knowledge of how to fix this please help?

basically somehow my drivers side auto up feature stopped working. When you pull to the second click the window doesn’t wind up automatically. You have to hold it manually till it gets all the way up. I have seen different videos and threads on how to re-sync the window but it doesn’t work on mine cos most of them are for other Benz models.

Anyone had this issue with the 2017 eclass? If so, how do you fix it??

Pull the corresponding button until window closes, and hold the button for an additional second or two. Upon your next visit to dealer request they check to see if there is a software update available for door module.

thanks but this did not work. Trying to avoid having to go to the dealership but I just may have to. Thanks anyways.

Hold up!!! I got it fixed. Not sure exactly what I did but I recall using the smart key to wind all the windows down and then all the way up a few times before locking the car and giving up. I didn’t check to see if it worked until I just got back into the car 30 mins later, cranked the car and then tried it and it works now. Don’t know if that was truly what fixed it but I’ll take that fix for now.. until the next time.

If a side window is obstructed during closing and reopens again slightly:

# Immediately after the window blocks, pull the corresponding button again until the side window has

closed, and hold the button for an additional second.

The side window is closed with increased force.

If a side window is obstructed again during closing and reopens again slightly:


# Repeat the previous step.

The side window is closed without the automatic reversing function.

Took my car to the dealership and the advisor claimed that it will be $150 to diagnose a window that's under warranty. Anyway that they can avoid writing it up. Lost a 20yr old customer after this car. A guy with the same problem was there at same time as me and they ignored the fact its a common issue. I appreciate all the feedback you guys provide.

@ konigstiger ; since you are like a god here when it comes to these bulletins... are yo aware of any recorded issues wihh the speaker vibrating in the door...?

i'm gonna ask my dealer to address the problem, but a bulletin would be very helpful in this case...

The dealer for mine said there was something loose in there, it made it better. But the problem still persists and the new dealer that my cars at now denied that there is anything wrong with it.

Due to the midwest weather my windows froze frequently and threw the sensors out of whack. The window would go DOWN when I pressed the button UP. Same window would touch the top of frame(closed position) then return to midway.

Went to dealer- The fix is simply resetting the window sensor.

How to:

1.) Put the window down completely.
2.) Hold the button DOWN for 10 seconds.
3.) Hold the button UP and bring the window closed and hold for 10 seconds.

Repeat if this doesnt work the first time. I had to do it more then once before

Must be done on the driver side buttons only. Cannot be done on the non-driver window buttons


This will FIX the remote start issue of the windows/sunroof being "DOWN" or "OPEN"

Only bulletin released covers speaker malfunction and advises to create PTSS case (MB assistance). Attached instructions to remove door liner/speaker covers for anyone feeling ambitious to check on their own.

Manually roll it all the way up and hold the button up for 5 seconds. This should reset the calibration and save you a couple hundred dollars at the dealership. Good luck 👍
