Good day,
Can anyone help me with a schematic of the E400 Executive transmission and drive shafts.
What I am inquisitive about is whether the drive system is the same or similar to the C43 AMG (just sold).
The rolling resistance seems to be a lot less than the C43 AMG.
Are the wheels driven PERMENTLY - or is there a predominant bias to the front or rear determined by torque inputs??
Can anyone help??

The W213 has a glide mode in Economy setting, whereby it freewheels under certain off throttle situations to eliminate engine braking and preserve momentum. I'm not sure the C Classes with the 7 speed auto has this function, and this is likely the difference. Originally Posted by Obie
