2019 E Sedan build dates

I'm not sure but I believe that date is when they will release the car to the dealerships since a lot of E450 have been built already and are at the VPC. My dealership did say that until the ones at Halifax are released they don’t think any new ones will be assigned build dates for the next few months and the earliest possible is November. I feel they’re not really informed on these matters since the dealership opened last August and I’m not sure how much it differs between Canada and USA.

This says theyll arrive late 2018 to the dealership for USA. Supposedly the HUD is delayed again when I last saw the order guide but at least in Canada they said it won’t matter for a customer build

A month ago they did want to release the E450 mid to late August.. but due to supply chain issues, system & inventory screw up, and EPA certifications they realized in order to have all those things complete they would need an extra month or two for some models.. which is when they said Oct... then things started to pick up, so the CLA and GLA were the first to be certified and CLA are already on dealer websites and I just saw some yesterday getting unloading at one of the local MB dealers.. the GLC were next and now they are starting to make their way.. the E300 and C Class were next and it’s a matter of time before those are released. The C Class might be held to after Labor Day more so on purpose.. the E450 Coupe and Cab will be released most likely before the Sedan due to inventory.. but could be at the same time. Mid Sept... once we get to Sept 1st they will re evaluate their August sales, inventory etc and then update the releases that were scheduled. I’m a few weeks we will know more.

my dealer says a lot has to do with 2018 inventory. They have 40+ sedans but no cabs (sorry didn’t think to ask about coupes). He said the 2-door 2018 e-classes are very very low on inventory nationwide. Maybe he is just blowing smoke up my tailpipe, but he says that’s why he is 90% sure it’s not going to be near as long a wait for the Coupe/cab as the sedans.
Only time will tell....

Was told today that the tentative plan is to release the Coupe/Cab before the Sedan... due to lack of inventory for Coupe/Cab and still many 2018 E Sedans remaining. Mid Sept is target... like with anything that could change for better or worse each week.

Apparently my car has already been built and my dealership said MB Canada didn’t update them until it was built. They said we should receive it by the end of October or earlier which is perfect as that’s when the X5 lease ends too. I think this means that it’ll probably arrive earlier than that in USA as Canada’s first E300 just hit the dealerships yesterday while it’s been a few days since its been in USA dealerships.

Thank you. can’t wait for the car to come in and look it over. Black with Nut Brown/Black interior with great options selected. I am afraid to ask for the lease price but I was told today that the residual is great and lease terms are good. Will see.

My sales guy confirmed the release!
Now, just how long will it take? He said now that the hold has been lifted, they’ll start checking the cars again and start putting them on trucks. He says P1 (customer ordered) are processed first... so maybe next week?!?!?

The wait is finally over. The P1 will be delivered first to the dealer along with inventory.. should have it next week

My former general sales manager who is at another Florida dealer, my sales manager and salesperson all informed me last night, that our E450 4Matic will be at my local dealer no later than next week.
