It means you have a radio and no Nav.

506 - Audio 20 USB with online functionality (only with 868 [see below])
520 - Audio 20 USB
522 - Audio 20 USB capable of having SD Card Nav upgrade

355 - Garmin MAP PILOT or MB SD Card Nav pre-installation kit (changes 520 to 522)
357 - Garmin MAP PILOT (8.4" standard screen) or MB SD Nav (option 868 12.3" Media-Display selected) installed (requires 355 to be specified in addition) with Sat Nav date contained on an SD Card
531 - COMAND Online (includes 868) with Sat Nav data contained on a Hard Drive Disk.
868 - Media Display 12.3"

All of which could be combined with touchpad controller (448) and if fitted with Media Display (868) widescreen cockpit (digital instrument display) (464).

So you are left with the following combinations:

Audio 20 USB (radio only) (520)
Audio 20 USB with Sat Nav Prep (522 + 355)
Audio 20 USB with Garmin MAP PILOT (522 + 355 + 357)

Audio 20 USB (radio only) with a larger display (506 + 868)
Audio 20 USB with larger display with Sat Nav Prep (506 + 868 + 355)
Audio 20 USB with larger display with MB Nav (506 + 868 + 355 + 357)

Command Online (531) [this includes touchpad controller (448)].

Clearly depending your National importer they may start at a higher base level than just 520 (such as UK for MY18 cars (code 808)) or package various things in Nav or Media Packages, but on the data card its the combination of those option codes that will tell you what your car is fitted with.

For completeness all MY19 (809) cars have adopted NTG 5.5 architecture which means that the base Audio 20 unit is now the 506 unit, but still with 8.4" screen and if you specify Nav it will only be the MB version with larger display (Garmin MAP PILOT is no longer fitted) . In UK this is the baseline fit for all cars (506, 868, 355) and DAB+ (537), but in German cars its only 506!

Shocked your dealer doesn't know what's fitted, but clearly if you only have 506 it isn't Command but as an MY18 car should also be fitted with 868 larger media display. Check for what is present from the following option codes: 506 + 868 + 355 + 357, compare with above and hopefully this should enable you to finds out what you do/don't have an what (if any) upgrades you can/can't make!

Wow, Thank you very much for your information . I'm quit clear now what I have in my car . I think it should be 506 + 355 + 868 . I have a large screen 12.3'' big screen in center . I have a SD card which is contain garmin navigation told by dealer . I try it can be searching wifi around me , and Bluetooth as well . I also can connect my iPhone to use apple car play . But I dont have touchpad. But I can confirm that is not command online..

Beside this question , I really want to know , I using this kind of package , garmin navi , audio 20 with online function . Then what is the different between command online ? I knowing command online can be online as well and it have a hard disk built in. What else different between command online and audio 20 ? I'm first time to use this kind of package , before I driving W211 and W 204 , both car is audio 20 , so I don't really don't know what is command online

Keong8867 - which country/area are you?

If you have the 12.3" screen then you will have MB Nav and not Garmin MAP PILOT. The display will look and feel more like COMAND mapping, whereas Garmin looks like a Garmin stuck on the windscreen Nav. In UK we don't get on-line features with non COMAND systems, however, I expect it means you can't do things like work out route out at home on you phone/computer and send it to the car or have online data features such as fuel prices - but I am guessing so can't/won't comment anymore.

Am curious to know how you will enter details without the touchpad - assuming steering wheel controls and LINGUATRONIC only?

I'm in Malaysia . I have 2 big screen on the center . Dealer told me that Nav is Garmin map pilot. Yes, I enter details with the roler or using the steering wheel controls . Here is the picture that I take last week . That is my navigation , Can you see that is MB Nav or Garmin ?

That's MB Nav as it's the bigger screen. If it was Garmin Map Pilot it would look like this:

Ok , thank you for your information . I'm clear now what my car is using . It's audio 20 with online function , the navi is from MB but it's not command online .

I have apple car in my car . I think it have a package for those function . If you don't have it I think you should go back to your dealer

My Dealer is not support to active Apple CarPlay on E200 W213 NTG 5.5 with SD-Card navigation. ( 506 + 355 + 868 )

is there anyone know how to active CarPlay? Or buying a modun to active Carplay.

Thanks for the informative breakdown of the option codes.
My 2018 C43 (W205) has (506+355) but does not have the touchpad controller. (448).

I wonder if it's possible to get that larger display (868) and also retrofit the touchpad controller?

When you do these mods, does any firmware need to be updated in the head-unit, or does it all "just work" (tm)?
