This morning I saw a gray kind of shadow in my classic display meters, when not dimmed, it is not visible in the other modes
Are you talking about the curved grayer portion on the left to right tops of the displays? It appears this is normal. Here's a photo I got off the internet now and it has the same effect, if that's what you're referring to:
Ive noticed this before and its supposed to be shadow created by light. Its a nice detail, expect they didnt go as far as to create different shadows on the left and right circle. Doesnt make sense
