So my issues are at the edges mostly, though if they look good after touch up I might not be upset about doing the whole thing. The current pain point though is at the edges in two places. do you have a picture of the beeswax polish outcome? Thanks.

I dont have pics but I do it on my furniture. It also has the advantage of not being permanent!

I have the black ash wood on my car, but wish it were the brown burl wood. I am not a big fan of black wood, but did not have a choice when I bought my car, since it was the only E450 Wagon, in a 500 mile radius of where I lived. I guess the availability has loosened a lot since then.

So there are a bunch of related threads on both ordering all of the OEM replacement pieces in the color or wood of your choice to replace what you have OR keeping the trim that you have, removing it from the vehicle, stripping it back to the bare wood and staining it and painting and laquering it in whatever stain or color desired and re-installing it. In researching how to do this touch up, those threads are full OEM trim part numbers and DIY removal instructions as well as info on effective wood strippers, stains and clear coats and techniques for doing each step with pics. Enjoy.

Thank you for the above information. Now that I purchased the car, I am leaning towards keeping it as-is. But appreciate the info anyway.
