.
Have you looked at Tidal or Qobuz. I believe they both have a high quality option.

2018 S560 and 2019 E450 Wagon.
No, I'll have to check them out, thanks for the suggestion.

Just make sure you use them with Android Auto or Apple Carplay (i.e. plugged in to USB); my experience is that Bluetooth sound is far lesser quality.

This app will play lossless audio through CarPlay.
So if you really want that pure sound you could always rip your CDs and use an app.
Yes, ripping isn’t fun but you only need to do it once.

Alternatively you can stream music with CarPlay via Spotify or Apple Music. If I’m not mistaken both will be CD-quality at least. Bluetooth will sacrifice sound quality. But not a wired usb connection.

AFAIK Apple Music and Spotify are not CD quality streams.

From what I understand in using a iPhone you really need some kind adapter to play higher end streams because the lightening connector bypasses the D to A converter.

Regardless, if you want lossless then play directly from the phone instead of streaming.

streaming has compression.
I think Spotify is working on a high quality stream like tidal.

Half the people on this E class sub forum probably have some form of hearing loss anyway so what’s the difference lol
playing into the stereotype 😆

I do download CD's through computers into a USB for my wife to play in her Nissan Rogue home remodeling issaquah wa. She finds it more convenient than the single CD player. Recording from a CD through a computer to a USB and then to the hard drive in the car sounds like a lot of "stepping on" as they used to say. Each recording will degrade the music to some extent.

As for the appearance, tried to find a picture of a 2010 E350, Luxury version. Attached a picture of 2011 Sport version. Luxury has one more bar in the grille. My basic problem with the new E is the grille and the huge intakes on either side of the lower grille. To me, just does not have that luxury sedan look.
I am having a nostalgic moment and am starting to build up my CD collection again. It must be 25 years ago since I ripped my entire collection and sold the physical, but now want it back. Can anyone recommend a decent CD player that will go with a Denon 3700H receiver. My max budget is £500. I was looking at the Denon 900NE but was just wondering whether a player at this price really does sounds better than a £300 player. I have Wharfedale Diamond 12.3 speakers and a Cambridge Audio X201 subwoofer ( not too impressed with to be honest) Any advice will be greatly appreciated
