I'm so new

I'm so new I don't know if my 2008 E350 4Matic qualifies ms as a W210, W211, W212, etc... I don't understand that termin ology so hope I'm posting to the right sitr.

Also, I have searched threads for my issue without success.

My problem: Recently my dash messages are dim. Not the lights that one controls to iluminate the dash, but the messages themselves. Reading them is like reading through sunglasses in the nighttime.

Any idead? And thanks in advance.

The Wnnn designation is for a given body style that lasts for several model years. A graphic can be viewed here.
