No car company is immune to some issue one way or the other. No manufacturer is immune really. It will be interesting to see if their concerns lead to any fines.

In fact most manufactures are not and have not bee the subject of Audit Queries.
The NHTSA is like the DOJ: when they go public, their case is petty solid. When an action is brought, for example by the DOJ, their win rate is 97%.

And mercedes and volvo are european and chinese....
But it is a good thing manufacturers are checked and monitored we all know corporations can loose their way, vag with dieselgate is of course a modern example but history is littered with some dreadful examples which took Ralph Nadar years to bring to justice.
be surprised if there is anything substantive but these days it seems anything can happen.
