High Beam question
I have my headlights set to auto. I know I can push the stick forward to enable the high beams, but is there any way to force the high beams on?

On the light control knob near your knee, switch the lights from Auto to On. When the left stalk is pushed forward, the high beams will come on regardless. Once you don't need them on constantly, or if it's stopped being cautious about other light sources, set the control knob back to Auto.

In the "on" position, will the lights stay on when the ignition is turned off, or do they go out as they do with the switch in the "auto" position? Curious, but too lazy to get off my butt and walk to the garage to test it. ;-)

That's correct, but if like me you are used to driving with auto high beams, the next time you start the car its easy to drive with high beams on, and the only clue is the blue icon in the instrument display. I've done this a few times, and am trying to get into the habit of turning the switch back to auto, since I leave the stalk in the forwards position all the time.
On a different note, if anyone reads this: Do people miss not having fog lamps in the front? Cornering lamps are great (when cornering) but on country roads its nice to have a wide field of illumination independent of full beams.

I've not missed fog lights personally. I'm very happy with the performance and range of illumination provided by the intelligent lighting system.

Based on my understanding, fog lamps were developed so that a lower section of the road would be illuminated when the limited power and illumination range from the low beams was unable to cast enough light on the road directly in front of you. That being said, the intelligent lighting system is so capable of casting the right light in the right places (even to the sides before the cornering lamps come on), that this became a redundant feature.

Now only if we could do something about the lifted 4x4's with 100W headlights that basically give you a cat scan when they are behind you.

Using them in higher speeds actually makes the driver less suited to see in a distance in front of the car as your eyes will adjust to the bright area directly in front of the car.
I'm not missing them at all.
