Since I don't have the car, do you mean if I use two finger to swipe up and down to change the station, does the manual pop up first. Please tell me a little more how you use the touch pad to change the station. We definitely did not swipe the touch pad if that's what it takes to change station. Can you touch the touch pad accidentally and change the station?
I just cannot imagine the station will change if you just accidentally touch the touch pad, you have to do something like a two fingers swipe up and down.

I was an EE for 30 years, I designed computer hardware for years, this is quite common, you just change one part and see instead of knocking your head against the wall. I'll just keep getting after them, I'll yelp, I'll call tv station and do whatever it takes.
I just can't get over they think we are that stupid knowing there's a touch pad and we still accidentally touch that after 5 or 6 times bringing it back, like as if we don't have better things to do and we are moron that still so careless and touch the touch pad.

The last time, they claimed we accidentally touched the touch pad even though we had video clearly showed the driver had both hands on the steering wheel making a turn and no where close to the touch pad.
They said if we disable the touch pad, it would not change anymore. WRONG, we disabled the touch pad, it still changes, just not as often. If we end up with lemon law and win, we definitely not buying another mercedes. It's unfortunate, we had a good E class, I still have the 2014 ML that is perfect. All the computers are NOT a good thing.

AND we don't like to be LIED to our face by Mercedes of Stevens Creek.
At first, they didn't even want to accept the DVD disc, it was until we talked to the manager before they took the disc. then they came back and claimed we had the HD satellite enable, the station will switch if the signal is weak. They advice us to disable the HD satellite radio and go with just FM and AM. We took the car back and video taped the same problem with HD satellite disable. It still changed.
So we brought the car back and with the DVD. Now the foreman telling us that the touch pad in the middle arm rest has been touched to cause the station to change. He claimed it showed on the screen in the video that the touch pad had been touch to cause the problem. We did not touch the touch pad, we were very careful not to touch anything. In fact, I watched all the videos, I don't see any change in the screen right before the radio switched, there is no indication on the screen the touch pad has been touched. That's why I want to know where to look on the screen that show the touch pad has been touched.
Now we are in a stand still.
