I'm going to ask them at the dealer to not hook up the connector to the lock on the center consoles doors so this never will happen again. I hope they will do it. I'd find if I left my keys attached to my belt loop they'd get in the way.

Lol, I'm really not the type of guy carrying stuff off my belt loops. For now i'm just putting my keys in the cup holder. I just hope the parts come in soon so I can enjoy having a convertible again, they left the plug and the center console door disconnected and the controls for the top and the windows are at the front of that door so no button for the top control until they get in the parts. At least they are being good about covering this under warranty, I've had really good luck with Sarasota Mercedes.
