Rain sensing wipers

Drove the car in the rain for the first time today and decided to try the auto setting on the wipers.

Holy smokes is it sensitive, with just sprinkles it was wiping almost every new drop that hit the glass. Wish I could convince them to chill and relax a bit...

Also noticed the wipers motion seems kinda, I dunno…...digital maybe? Not a nice linear swipe like my other cars. Kinda like it's thinking through the entire wipe lol. They work fine though.

Mine work without any "digital motion". Remember there are two settings: normal and sensitive. Try the normal and it may be more to your liking.

By the way, did not know it ever rained in San Diego -so maybe that is why you thought the wipers were "digital"!

How do you select normal and sensitive? Mine appear to have off, int normal, int frequent, cont slow and cont fast. Maybe there's a windshield wiper option I don't have?

OK, I RTFM and see that position 1 and 2 are sensitivity intermittent. I was using position 1.

I don't know how you people deal with this rain stuff.....makes your car dirty and blocks the sun out.

We live with it so we don't have to put up with California regulation and emission standards.....

Mine are the same:

Off
low intermittent
high intermittent
constant low
constant high

I keep mine on high intermittent.

REMEMBER TO TURN OFF WHEN YOU GO IN A CAR WASH!

Oh man, you have no idea..... I WISH those were the problems over here.

BTW, got an extra $100 Billion? Our Governor likes trains, fast trains. He saw one once.

All that aside, being an ex-Californian, I do miss San Diego from time to time. Can't beat the weather or the city; just beautiful. Try to get out there once in awhile during the winter.
