Hermes Comms Module
Anybody know where the HERMES Communications module is located in the W213? I still cannot connect to the internet via wi-fi but I have Mercedes Me and live traffic updates etc .
A suggestion in another Forum suggests Module registration fault? May need to suggest to dealer to replace but don’t want whole car dismantling!
Any ideas gratefully received.

I have read in other forums that for you to pair your phone with your car, if you already have the Hermes module, you have to ask your dealer to disable the WIFI and enable the Bluetooth. This is what i have aread... dont ask me how.

BIG QUESTION: SNCE THE DEALER SAID MY AAM is not communicating and they can not replace it (obsolete), can I replace all my computers with a used set from another car including the key, will that work since everything is synchronized/proprietary. No one in the Dallas area has any good news for me about the 2004 ML350 being able to be repaired. Does anyone have any suggestions, good interior, body, paint, new tires, good engine/tranny but I can't start it or go anywhere?

How come any control unit for a 2004 Mercedes would be obsolete?

so if the the car is connecting to Mercedes Me or Mercedes Me Connect, the module is not the issue as it has established connectivity (think the modem).
So that means, is it still under the allotted time that MB gave you if you purchased the car new or has the "mbrace" expired?
If it expired, did you get the "entertainment" mbrace package which is what allows for the hot-spotting?
