Was at the dealer and they did not have a clue (of course). I pointed them out to the HTTPS problem, and they seriously escalated this to MB Germany. Together with the Web browsing still not working (probably also(?) a proxy problem in Stuttgart), so let's see what comes out from this.
Apparantly Samsung had the same problem with some of its built-in (TuneIN) apps, that was defnitely caused by the unability to play HTTPS streams (sorry, in Dutch): https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/...-t/td-p/737608
(apparantly some TuneIN radio stations did also supply a HTTP url (so without the S), and than it worked again. But since now more than half of all stations uses HTTPS, this not seems a real solution, but more of a workaround and confirmation that MB needs to fix this in their MB Apps asap!
Just got an COMAND 5*5 update from the dealer, but TuneIN still not working with https (http still works).
Also the Internet Browser now completely dissappeared from the Connectivity Menu, unbelievable..........
I'm now having trouble connecting to most of the TuneIn radio stations that I want to listen to, via the COMAND system. - Including some of the stations that were working fine last month!
Tell us few of the stations that don't work, then others can try to see if it is a specific station issue (https) or some other thing.
Here all http stations still work (most are public stations), but commercial ones not. Still waiting for official response from MB if/when they will solve this https issue (which is a common problem, also in other hardware, like Samsung media players, they solved this with an easy software upgrade!).
None of the stations on my favourites list seem to be working, although it displays what song is currently playing. The last station on the list is now showing as "Not Supported", which it did not say previously.
All of the stations on my favourites list were working in February.
Every time I select a station (from that list of stations), it shows me the following message:
I wanted to check if the in-built 4G connection is working correctly, so I connected my smartphone to the car's WiFi hotspot and did a speed test:
All of the stations on my favourites list are working via the web browser on my home computer.

I have tried NPO FunX in my car and I can confirm that it works.
Ok, then it is clear that you also experience the "https bug" from the built-in TuneIN app. Until solved by MB (if so) you have to use your smartphone (via AD2P or Carplay/AndroidAuto) to play https TuneIN stations or choose http stations (most public broadcasters still use http).

Indeed easy way around it.........especially since also the webbrowsing is discontinued as a feature (after COMAND sw upgrade, the browsing feature is disappeared). This were the only 2 reasons to use the overpriced internet subscription (by Vodafone), so they can stop that partnership too...... maybe in the next generation of cars they can provide for only a retro FM radio and a cassette player, so nothing complex and independent of third parties............
Let's face it Mercedes doesn't give a ****.
Whatever the problem with you car, they'll try a few times to fix it, but if it doesn't work.. well so be it (I have a long list with unfixed items)
They even just stop replying to you (email), once they realise they don't know what to do …

Maybe somebody can test whether the TuneIN App still works in cars with MBUX? (so in A Class, or brand new E Class, etc)
And also if Full Screen Android Auto, Internet Browsing, etc is possible in these new MBUX systems?
Woah, so I'm not the only one with this problem. However, I'm in a 2018 C300 though. Crazy! So I raised this issue on Twitter and they keep punting me to the local dealer which I believe they don't have the slightest clue as they never return my calls. I'm going to keep tweeting about it. I feel I paid good money for my car to have features continue to work throughout, so I'd expect it to work.
It's now almost 2 years after I first raised the problem with Mercedes and nothing has been done..
Even complained to Daimler about the extremely poor customers service of Mercedes, but they too have to decided to ignore me.

That's crazy.
MB should compensate by adding in Android Auto/Apple CarPlay for us.

No, nothing was done to the car at all before it started working. I just decided to try it this morning, and it just started working again.
I've only tried those two stations that I've mentioned above, so far.
i've just tried streaming Radio 538 Dance Department and Fox News Talk this morning, and both now seem to be working!

Good news! And yes.............here it is working too now! All 538 stations now play.......as well as the Radio 10 stations and other (mostly) commercial stations that use HTTPS.
Either MB fixed it...........or they all stopped using HTTPS?
But finally I can continue using the data polan I bought.............don't know if I will extend, but at least one usefull use of it (since web browsing is discontinued since earlier this year).
Oh, so you guys are using the supplied connection/data plan within the car? It's not via your smartphone connected via USB? I just tried yesterday with my wife's iPhone via USB and Mercedes-Benz Apps just stalls, Internet Radio returns some error, and the browser says this is disabled. Sigh...
