Mercedes me, location, and navigation problem
My 2018 E400s4 wagon Mercedes me, Navigation, and Location problems:
My E400 had no problems since new (April, 2018) until a month ago. First problem was with Mercedes me remote app (most current version, Apple IOS): would not show location of where the car was parked, and remote start would not operate; though I could lock and unlock doors remotely, could send an address to my car’s nav system. Later, my voice controlled navigation (v. 14.0) started to act strange: when searching points of interest, the first entries to show were the farthest from my location, the closest were at the end. My map display showed my location correctly, and I could navigate correctly to an address that I entered.
I called Mbrace from my car and asked where they saw my car was at that moment - they “saw” my location near Atlanta, Georgia, but I was in Tampa, Florida, about 400 miles away.
I made an appointment at my dealer for next week. Should I insist on a software update of Command? Could this be a problem in the Hermes unit? Any other advice would be welcome.

Most likely a software update and reset I would have thought. Not sure how Hermes Module could cause that.
Perhaps try logging out of Mercedes Me and turn off phone, back on and re log in. Seems to work for some with problems.

mercedes me is a near useless app. Read about this, it is well documented.

Depends, outside of a minor glitch or two, it has worked for me and many others.
Sometimes you have to reload the app: Delete the app, restart phone. After phone has re-started, re-down load app, install and restart phone again. It worked clearing up a glitch for me.

Mercedes me is very functional for me. I use remote start most days to pre-cool the car. I also use location services when I park in a huge multistory garage at Tampa airport. The app always works.

Nope, pretty useless to me. I takes several minutes to even open the app and when it does it usually will not complete any tasks within it. It even has cars in there that I cannot get rid of that I have sold along time ago! Therefore I have just given up on it.
