Hi. I live in Korea and own 2017 e200. The current cumulative distance is 37,000 km. Are there any dashboard noises in your e-Class? My car is producing various noises in the direction of the dashboard when I only operate the air conditioner. For example, if you turn on the air conditioner in winter, it will produce a puck, tick-like noise. I tried disassembling the dashboard three times in the service center, but it did not work. I'm curious to write.

My 2019 e200 dash doesnt make any noise, a little if I push the panel hard. But the noise might something that happens overtime? Have you been to the dealer to see if they can identify the issue?

Thankfully I haven't heard any dashboard noises in my car.

the plastic grill on top of the dash used to vibrate, but they fixed it.
i do have a lot of vibrations coming from the speakers. (vibrating within the doors)
which drives me nuts, but so far dealer can not seem to repair.

I recently made a service visit for some rattling noises under my dash under the gauges. It was duplicated and fixed.

My 2018 E300 Sport package and my 2018 E300 Luxury package, are both quiet from any noise or rattles.

Egon, I have the speaker rattle - my dealer apparently assigned their deaf service tech to diagnose it, since he could not hear it.

I do not have other dash noises...

I've never had a rattle or vibration in my E300. My only squacks when I had service was the need for software updates.

So far, my 2019 E450 CAB dash has been noise free....and we've had some cold weather.

it depends on the temp. usually starts when it's hot.
there is an OFFICAL fix for this

Did they say what was causing this. My 2018 E Class has noises under the dash near the gauges. Thanks.

I believe center dash rattle/vibration is a known issue and the repair is covered by warranty. Good luck!

I have a very early production 2017 E43 and have experienced numerous rattles since my car was new. The latest is when it is could and I hollow sounding noise comes from the center console. Of course, I have a rattle vibration from my driver’s door that is related to cold/road conditions. The car only has 23,000 miles on it a has been a big disappointment.

I have a rattle on the top of my drivers side dash on my E450 Wagon. Believe it or not it started doing about 2 months ago when some idiot in the next lane to me was in a Ford Mustang with open headers and floored the car at a traffic light and the vibrations caused my rattle to start, I think it might be the cover on top of the dash. If I pop the top of the dash right in front of me with my palm I can clearly hear the sound, no way in heck the dealer could deny this noise, it's very noticeable going over bumps. I'll have to have the dealer look at it next time the car is in for service.

I thought my door panels buzzing with motorbikes/loud cars nearby is annoying enough, but your experience definitely takes the cake. Love how Daimler's profit is still diving despite selling loads of inadequately designed cars with cheapened materials. (as typified by dash rattles, known issues or not)

Going to the dealership tomorrow for the new dash rattle. Wish me luck.

center dash cover replaced 2x for me. Also, the atomizer sometimes moves around and makes noise in the glovebox. One thought to be dash rattle was actually the rearview mirror - made quite a racket when you tapped it. Replaced under warranty.

So my car came back from the dealership and the rattle reappeared the next day. I am so disappointed with this car. I can honestly say that this car has never lived up to my expectations and I have been so disappointed with the internal build quality of the car, the external quality looks great, just the rattles underneath drives me nuts.

Time for a letter to Mercedes Benz North America.
