Question Door Pocket Cup Holder

Just got my new 2019 E300 yesterday...Replaced the 2017......Does anyone know how or if the cup holders in the door pockets can be removes. Big waste of space with them in there.

In the MY18 version, they simply lift out. I keep extra water in mine.

Hmm

When I tried to pull them seemed like they were attached to the box. Wouldn’t pull out. Sales guy tried too. Any more info on hope you got them out?

I didn't take them out, but my salesman took them out of his car.

In both our 2018 E400 and 2019 E450, they are easily removed. I don't use them either. I should just take them out and put them in the garage to be returned when we sell or trade the cars.

It's pretty simple. Pull up and remove.

2018 S560 and 2019 E450 Wagon.
Mine were in pretty tight, had to really work at them to get them out, I tried to put one back in and could not seem to wedge it in, no biggie as I'm leaving them out anyhow as I put lots of water bottles in both sides for me and when I have others riding in the pass side. I don't remember them being in as tight on my 2018.

Once removed, if you feel inside there, closest to your leg, there is a ridge the insert has to get past. It requires a pretty darn firm push to get it past that ridge. I believe the ridge is there to ensure the cup holder doesn't bounce around when nothings sitting in it.

What do they actually look like? Is it a holder or is it just a little platform?

They look like little open boxes where you can leave your bottle there or something else.

Here is a clue: https://www.drive2.ru/l/512231682129003560/
