My stupidity buying AUTOFOCUS VIM (Video) in Motion Device ..help help help!!!

The OBD device typically will not work with the W213 as from the new COMAND updates block it all. I have tried and no success. I mean I would have trusted this unit that looks like it was created by a 8th grader, but Im sure you feel that way too. Sorry.
You need the behind the center console harness to make it work.
As far your current status of no video at all. Seems that you need to uninstall the OBD port dongle from your car. Since your COMAND is not blocked by a foreign signal going into it. I am only assuming that this OBD unit has the option to uninstall and it is not faulty.
To test -
You need to have the car in key 2 position and plug in the OBD device, you should get a message on your COMAND screen that states factory. And thats it. If that does not work then I would suggest contacting the manufacturer or seller of the OBD device and ask them how to uninstall it from your car?
Keep us updated, hope that works and if youre still interested in VIM for your car after that consider the VIM harness behind the center console. I have a installation guide on that to help out, if you choose to go that way.

Sit in the car with your key fob. Do not press the brake pedal. Press your start/stop button 2 times where all of your dashboard lights turn on= key star position 2. Turn on all car accessories without starting the car.

Oh sheet are you serious? I mean if the dongle bricked your COMAND I would maybe try to make them liable. Refund and a repair cost should be covered. COMAND update in my area is $299. I don’t know if thats all you need or the dealer would make a excuse that you need other files and labor to charge you more $$$. Good luck. Keep us updated.
