How to activate personal POI on NTG 5.5
Hi,
I need a help because I would like to add speed cameras to my vehicle from SD-CARD/PersonalPOI. But I not found settings in my command online map settings to activate personal poi.
In some website I saw in w213 not have personal poi option. Somebody know something about this maybe have a way to activate this with xentry or engineer mode?
SPECS.:
W213
NTG 5.5
Thank you.
I look forward to hearing from you.

I would like to know this too.
Has anyone enabled engineering mode on their W213 COMAND 5.5 system? Is there any option there for switching on the ability to add custom/personal POI?

POI represents Places (or Points) of Interest previously identified and placed in the database. They are not meant to be your Personal POIs because they are destinations desired by many owners.
I have never had a problem doing a voice "Search by POI" to to find a named location in the database. Once you've navigated to it the first time, you can then find it in "Last Destinations" when desired.
For your personal destinations, just name them in the "Send To Benz" function of Mercedes Me. Find them the same way in "Last Destinations."

Personal/Custom POI in terms of the ability to add e.g. a speed camera database to the navigation maps, by having the additional POI database (i.e. all the locations of speed cameras in the country) on the SD card.
This is able to be done on many other Mercedes models, including a car I previously used to own (2012 E-class coupe W207).
However, this is disabled on the COMAND 5.5 on the W213 by default. Therefore I am asking if, through the 'Engineering mode' on the COMAND 5.5 unit, there is any option for personal/custom POI to be enabled?
Engineering mode itself needs to be enabled on the COMAND unit, which it isn't on mine, so I am unable to check myself.

If anybody finds out, let us know!
Much more behind that menu, e.g. Bleutooth tethering (to use you obile data plan instead of crazy expensive Vodafone dataplan), widescreen/full HD Android Auto, wireless Carplay, etc, etc, etc.

Engineering mode is enabled on my W212 (COMAND NTG5/NTG5.5). The W212 forum discusses it occasionally, but it doesn't seem to be all that useful. Maybe MB has decided that is not such a good idea, so that is why it is disabled on W213.
