BLIND SPOT TRIANGLE
Here is some info about MB BSA. Also I do not recall the triangle ever being orange, it has always been red in my experience.

First... wow are both cars seriously underpowered compared to my E450 but they also had the yellow triangle thing. It stays on to warn you it’s not really looking in the blind spot under 20 mph. Why?!? That makes no sense. And I really found the constant warning in the mirrors distracting

If a vehicle is detected within the blind spot monitoring range at speeds above 20 mph (30 km/h), warning lamp (1) on the corresponding side lights up red. This warning is always emitted when a vehicle enters the blind spot monitoring range from behind or from the side. When you overtake a vehicle, the warning only occurs if the difference in speed is less than 7 mph (12 km/h).
The yellow indicator lamp goes out if reverse gear is engaged. In this event, Blind Spot Assist is no longer active.
The brightness of the indicator or warning lamps is adjusted automatically according to the ambient light.
From the Operator's Manual for the 2019 E-Class Sedan (p. 213):
If a vehicle is detected at speeds above approximately 8 mph (12 km/h) and this vehicle subsequently enters the monitoring range directly next to your vehicle, the warning lamp in the outside mirror lights up red.
If a vehicle is detected close to the side of your vehicle, the red warning lamp in the outside mirror flashes. If you switch on the turn signal indicator in the corresponding direction, a warning tone sounds once. If the turn signal indicator remains switched on, all other detected vehicles are indicated only by the flashing of the red warning lamp.
If you overtake a vehicle quickly, no warning is given.
